Our goal for the annual Freedom & Progress gathering? To build a 21st century movement that embodies the principles best described by Frederick Douglass, who in 1870 declared, “I never intend to belong to any other party than the party of freedom and progress.”

Says FREOPP President Avik Roy, “It’s really elevating and inspiring to be around other people who’ve made a difference in the lives of tens of millions or hundreds of millions of Americans.”

Freedom & Progress attendee George Will describes the event as having “custody of the philosophy that made America.” Observes David Frum, “It’s exciting to be at a conference where the theme is ‘yes’: all the things we’re excited about, all the things we want to do.” AEI’s Matt Continetti notes, “I think the most important reason people should join the FREOPP conference…is that they’ll find a community of like-minded individuals…where the core American values of freedom and opportunity are celebrated and advanced.”
