Tabetha White

Tabetha Matthews is Operations Manager at the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity, where she oversees the day-to-day systems and operations that support FREOPP’s research, policy, development, and leadership teams.

Since joining FREOPP, Tabetha’s role has grown to span nearly every area of organizational operations, including finance and budgeting, human resources and employee benefits, compliance, contracts, Board operations, events, vendor management, and internal systems. She works closely with FREOPP’s president and executive leadership to ensure that organizational priorities move from planning to execution and that the systems behind FREOPP’s work are built to support its continued growth.

Tabetha also plays a central role in FREOPP’s financial and administrative operations, coordinating budgeting and cash-flow planning, accounts payable, audits and charitable compliance, employee onboarding and benefits, Board meetings and materials, major organizational events, and operational support for FREOPP’s scholars and staff. She works across teams to strengthen processes, improve accountability, and ensure important organizational information and responsibilities do not live in silos.

As FREOPP has grown, Tabetha has helped develop and formalize many of the internal processes that support the organization’s work, with a particular focus on creating clear systems, improving organizational continuity, and giving FREOPP’s policy and development teams the operational support they need to focus on advancing the organization’s mission.

Tabetha is passionate about building strong organizations behind meaningful work and believes thoughtful operations are ultimately about people—creating the structure, clarity, and support that allow a team to do its best work.
