John Kingston

John Kingston is Chair of the Board of EJF Investments Ltd, a London Stock Exchange company focused on U.S. banking and insurance assets, where he oversees governance and strategy alongside EJF Capital’s investment platform.

He also currently serves as Chair of the Board of Moving America Forward, developing long term strategy for structural political reform. He co-founded Mangrove Management Partners, the largest vascular surgery platform in the U.S., which secured backing from Blackstone and Wells Fargo, and co-founded and served on the board of the Forward Party, helping lead its 2022 national relaunch with Andrew Yang and Christie Todd Whitman. Prior to his current work, John spent over 15 years at AMG, rising to Vice Chairman and helping the firm scale to over $700 billion in AUM and $15 billion  in enterprise value, after earlier roles as Senior Counsel at Miller Anderson & Sherred (a Morgan Stanley division) and as an attorney at Ropes & Gray LLP.

Earlier in his career, John founded Better for America to secure ballot access for an independent presidential alternative and ran for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts. He currently serves on the boards of the Pioneer Institute, the American Enterprise Institute’s National Council, and the Committee to Fix the Debt, among others. John holds a BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from Harvard Law School.
