Freedom and Progress 2025: Advancing Opportunity Through Freedom

Freedom & Progress 2025

On November 21, 2025, the Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity (FREOPP) hosted the Freedom and Progress Conference in Washington, D.C., bringing together over 180 policymakers, business leaders, and innovators committed to advancing opportunity through free enterprise, technological innovation, and pluralism.

The 2025 conference featured an exceptional lineup of speakers, including a keynote conversation with Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves, who shared insights on state-led innovation in education, workforce development, and economic mobility. His remarks underscored the critical role governors play in shaping pathways to prosperity at the state level.

The agenda included sessions on higher education reform, non-college career pathways, worker freedom and flexibility, school choice, health care innovation, and family policy, with contributions from leading experts across sectors. Additional highlights included remarks from FREOPP President Akash Chougule and a conversation with Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, recipient of FREOPP’s Frederick Douglass Award for her leadership in expanding opportunity for students, workers, and families.

The Freedom and Progress Conference 2025 was covered by C-SPAN, where you can watch several sessions here. https://www.c-span.org/program/public-affairs-event/mississippi-governor-tate-reeves-speaks-at-freedom-and-progress-conference/669452
